most expensive day ever?-HELP

most expensive day ever?-HELP In Short- I spun a bearing in my 97 Buick LeSabre- i do have all the tools i need to do the swap myself and a crank and bearings are 120 on ebay+ cost of gaskets OR should i just sell the car outright since i only paid 500 for it and only put 200 into front tires (only owned car for 4 months)
The Story- i bought a 75 Kawasaki that im in the process of rebuilding- got it running today and a phone call from home (im at college) that my clutch lever finaly came in and she jsut mailed it up to me, so after about na hr of tinkering i get the bike running real good and decide to just kick it into first and ride around in my girlfriends backyard and
I demanded i went to walmart to buy a helmet so i can get it on the road and get my motorcycle permit
The Bad- Driving down to Walmart Superstore (we only have walmart in this town and they dont sell motorcycle helmets) my check engine light goes on so im like w/e its prob something stupid all the gages are fine, just for the hell of it i put the car in N and turn it off to just turn it back on and see if the light goes on (works in the camaro) but the car wouldnt let me turn the key back on, so i had to drift to the side of the street and park it to turn it back on, and it really kicked over hard and had a BAD knock, after checking out the motor for a min i got back into the car and the oil pressure started to drop- then i find out theres little copper shiny partials on the dipstick
The Cost- I spend about $30 on the bike before the walmart trip, had my friend tow me so his gas- $25, had to go to walmart to get a tow strap- $25, bunge cords- $10, and while i was there my helmet- $100, and now if i get this thing fixed ~$200- grand total for the day- $390
The Decision- Should i say **** the buick (GOOD car- this has been my frist problem) and try to get more than i paid for it on craigslist (KBB-3000 in good cond) OR should i just do the repair and have basically a brand new motor?
