tail light moisture

whats the best way to get moisture out of my reverse light on a trans am. and whats the best way to keep it from coming back.

I had that problem with the taillights and the front turn signal lights. After replacing them a couple times, I just drilled a small hole on the bottom side to allow for the water to drain out. Found out other car manufactures already do that and have not had a problem since.

You can do this, but if you want to keep water out altogether, remove the assembly and just put some RTV sealant all the way around the area where the two pieces fit together.

Yea, sorry forgot to mention, I tried to seal it, but ended up having hairline crack somewhere that let water in and ruined the reflective finish on the housing, so I went to drilling the small holes.

i was thinking about drilling small holes but didnt know if there was a better way. thanks for the input
