throwing code for high idle, 1600rpm in neutral? so yesterday i got an SES light for high idle rpm. i have been noticing my car shifting a little funny and holding out on shifts but not really idle problems.
anyway, today i was cruising at about 60mph and noticed that when i let off the gas the rpm would not drop at all, felt almost like cruise control was on. just to see what would happen i dropped it to neutral and it wouldn't drop below 1600rpm. later on, going 35ish i dropped to neutral and it revved up to 1600, held, then dropped down after a few seconds.
i've never really payed attention to idle in neutral at high speeds, but it seems a little off. something just doesn't feel right about the throttle but i don't quite know how to describe it.
