Burning oil?
I seem to be losing about 1 quart of oil between changes (3k miles),the car has 40k miles using Mobil 1 5w30 with mods in sig..I dont have any leaks i can find and any help would be greatly appreciated..

Considering how thin the Mobil 1 is that you are using, I'd say only losing 1qt is actually good. Try a thicker 30 weight oil or even a 40 and I bet your consumption gets cut in half. My car seems to like Castrol Syntec 5W-40 the best.

M1 does lose a little more volitiles than some other oils, but as a 30w it's about midpack. Not really thin for a 30w. You could try just about any other 30w and see if consumption goes down. 1/2 qt per 3k miles seems normal-ish for most oils/most cars.

If you're making plenty of oil pressure 10PSI per 1K RPM leave it alone.
