Trans Temp Gauge Install
Trans Temp Gauge Install Hi all,
I'm wiring up a trans temp gauge with a light, all the instructions are very clear but my only question is:
Is a good 12v switched hot the wire from the TCS switch in the center console? If not, where is the best one?
Should I wire the backlight of the gauge to a 12v that only comes on when the headlights are on? If so, where do I find a wire that's only on when the headlights are on? I'm thinking one behind the HVAC controls? Any ideas?

Also, I'm mounting it in the leftmost center AC vent (fits perfectly). I'm wondering if the AC or heat will affect the reading since the sender wire is exposed on the back?
Should I somehow coat the wire or insulate it so that the air doesn't reach it? Or does it not matter?
