AC help!
AC help! Ok just got another trans am 98 model. AC doesn't work. So my buddy pulled his AC stuff of his camaro and it was working great. I put his compressor on my car new filter tube and drier. Vacummed it down. Nothing. It won't take a charge. Not sure if compressor is kicking on. Pretty sure its not. Checked fuses they're good. Will the high pressure switch keep a comp from kicking on? Is there a way to jump power to compressor to see if its good? Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can run a jumper wire straight to the battery to see if the clutch is working or not, just don't leave it there.
The high side switch will keep if from coming on, but if it's not charged then this shouldn't be an issue.

Does it matter which of the 2 wires I put power on? And in that direction if I have power at one of those wires would this mean faulty compressor? I will try the jumper wire tho

By the way, do this with the engine OFF. When you connect power, you're listening for a click.
