AC Compressor leaking from case?

Anyone seen an AC compressor leak from the case?

I have leak detector in the system, Compressor does not cycle on at all, and is leaking from what looks to be the case.

The lines from the compressor are bone dry with no traces of leak.

The system holds 90-95 psi of pressure so it's holding...

So you think the compressor is bad?

I've seen them leak from the case when the 4 bolts holding it to the bracket are overtightened. I actually had a tiny harline crack in mine from over wrenching.

many problems with the case halves leaking too.
Alot of the Delcos are press fit and in time will leak.

This looks to be the problem with mine. Any way to reseal it?

Also, would this leak cause all the refrigerant to leak out or just the oil?

The refridgerant and oil mix throughout the system, it all leaks out together.

Are you sure it was from over tightening? I had a couple compressors leak on me and I realized it was because my bracket is slightly warped. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm guessing it is warped from the heat...
