99 vette, been running it with the maf unplugged because it runs better. just havent bought one yet. been running good for a few weeks like this but now the low oil light is on and the car dies after i try to take off. it idels fine and revs fine but i seems like it has a timer and just shuts off when i try to drive. oil level is fine and i tried to unplug battery for awhile and reconnected the maf but nothing help. any ideas? thanks

 

I'd say, change the oil level sensor. It sounds like the car won't run if the sensor says there is low oil.

 

Just unplug the sensor and see what happens.
