Default Egr

I have a 2000 trans am and it has the ls1 intake with the egr still in the intake and exhaust manifold. I took off the egr hose that goes in the intake and pluged it with a rubber freeze plug. The service engine light came on so i put the hose back in to the intake and the service engine light is still on should I be concerned or no please reply back or pm me plz.

or just disconnect your battery, tap the positive cable end against the positive battery terminal about 4 times getting a spark each time, then hook it back up. See if the SES light is off. That should reset the PCM. If not, keep it disonnected for 30 minutes.

But the tapping method always works on mine.
