Default Need some advice

I am now pulling my 404 stroker out of hibernation after nearly two years. I have been starting it up here and there. I would say that I have started it nearly 8-10 times over that time period let it idle, checked the oil and all the fluids then shut it off. What do you guys recommend I should check? With my original motor, I broke a spring and dropped a valve. I was thinking of having the tuner pop open the covers and double check the springs just to make sure before it gets retuned. Any other suggestions?

Its been the same oil for 2 years in there? Get that the heck outta there. Its trashed.

Flush the crankcase good with some engine flush and oil mixed. Drain all the old oil out, then put 2 bottles of engine flush and 3 qrts of new oil in. Run it for 15 minutes at idle. Then dump that out and put new oil in.

Yeah, have the tuner check everything possible.

Go drive it. You're not gonna know what little things need to be fixed till you start driving it.

For the flush:
Put the 3 qrts of oil in first so its sitting in the bottom of the pan. Then pour 1 of the bottles of flush in on top of the oil. Then start the engine. The oil pressure should pop right up. Then go over and pour the other bottle of flush in. Let it idle.

You don't want to pour the flush in first because as soon as you start the engine its gonna suck up that real thin liquid and thats bad for your bearings.
