Starter power problems
Car has been having trouble starting so I had the starter checked out at Autozone, its good. Checked the power wire. Found some melted and exposed wire so I replaced it with some 2 gauge wire from Autozone. Turned on the car, started fine. Turned it off and disconnected the battery to remove the old wire from the battery terminal. Still doing the same thing, just clicking, not getting power. What can be wrong? Battery/starter connections are clean and tight. Checked the starter fuse, it's good. I removed the starter relay, don't know what to look for in a bad relay.

Starter solenoid plastic housing was cracked so I replaced it with the solenoid from my almost new LT1 starter. Now when I hook up the negative battery terminal, the terminal sparks and the starter keeps spinning.
What can be wrong? Starter relay sticking? Starter solenoid bad, again?
