Driver's side door lock?

Driver's side door lock? The lock button began to feel loose. It wouldn't lock the car but still unlocked the car. Pryed the button out to see what was up with it. I couldn't find anything wrong but don't really know what to look for. Passenger side works fine, the button still has it's spring to it.

If the plastic piece is firmly attached to the metal rod, then you'll have to check the connection of that metal rod to the lock mechanism at the back inside of the door. (Once you take off the panel and the rear portion of the vapor barrier, you may need a mirror to see everything.)
