ac tensioner bypass
ac tensioner bypass Bypassing the ac tensioner with a smaller belt.
I did a search and surprisingly found nothing.
Anybody done this? When I went to replace the tensioner the threads came out with the bolt. I dont want to spend $70 on a helicoil kit. So if I can, Ill buy a slightly smaller belt to bypass the ac tensioner and call it done. The squeaking is driving me crazy.
1.Will doing this hurt anything?
2.Anybody who has done this have a belt size?
3.I also heard that the goodyear gatorback belt helps the squeaking..... is this true?
