Default ABS Light

Alright so I was driving a friend to work today and all of a sudden my ABS INOP light came on and my traction control light turned off and the light went on. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I was just driving in traffic and it went on. The TCS button doesn't work and haven't had a chance to check anything out. Anybody have any ideas of what it can be or what to look for when I check it out? Thanks...

Could be a wheel speed sensor.

See if you have any codes stored.

probably not a speed sensor... the abs light tends to stay on if they go bad. If your traction control is not working it will kick on the abs light. When the light is off, does your traction control work, or turn on? It is something to do with the traction control.

The ABS INOP light went on and so did the TCS OFF light. They both went on and stayed on at the same time. I tried to press the TCS button and it didn't do anything. Both of the lights just stayed on and the TCS button DID NOT work. They both went off right as I was leaving last night and then when I pressed the TCS button; everything worked fine.

try to pull the codes from the ebcm, with a code, it will be alot easier where your problem is coming from. it certainly seems related to the tcs.
