I know the water pump just went out in my camaro and its pissing water everywhere but theres a knocking noise at a idle.. Its like a constant pinging noise that goes away when revved a bit. It never overheated. I found the leaking water before it had a chance to overheat. Is that noise apart of the water pump issue?

I suppose it's possible. At any rate, you'll have your answer when you replace the pump.
