Yep, thats your good ol' VATS ****** up. Thats not uncommon on these cars. I almost suggested thats but you hadnt mentioned the security light at the time. I knew it wasnt the damn clutch saftey switch cause that being broke or removed will NOT stop the car from starting. At least in the 5yrs I have owned my car & drowned myself in f-body information I have yet to see a car not start purely from the clutch saftey switch not functioning. Along with driving my own for 5yrs without replacing the switch.

Search for the vats bypass on here it costs about 2 bucks to do and ull never have another issue.

yea i thought about doin that, but id rather just get it fixed. plus since the guy who works on my car is gonna have it, seems like the perfect time to make it faster right?
