Default driverside lean, bad cat also

The driver side 02 is reading up to +12 at part throttle and cruising. At idle the even or close to even with the right side. I'm also getting some slight misfires according to autotap and a code for a bad left cat. I have already swapped the front 02's from one side to the other and no change.

the reading your getting seems to be from the 02 sensor behind the cat, not in front. if the cat is bad, you need a new cat. if it is a "efficiency below threhold" replace the cat and clear the codes. Or it sounds like you may have a leak in the exhaust near the cat, if so the code is as simple as fixing your exhaust leak. Converter repairs at a muffler shop run 45 dollars, and they will be glad to clear your code.

I have a code, efficiency below threshold. However I need to find why I'm running lean on the same side. I had the same code about 6 weeks ago and cleared the code only for it to come back. Wouldn't running lean cause the pcm to the motor to run rich thus ruining the cat?
