Unhappy URGENT help please

My brothers car oil plug bolt is stripped and is unable to back out. I was looking at the underside and it seems like some oil has been ziiping out and getting all over the undercarriage.
Can anyone give me an idea on how to take it out and what to do to fix the hole?
can I tap the hole with the next bigger size and use the appropriate bolt?

Please help..........
Thanks

its hard to tap with just your hands and not a machine. it wont be precise. i would lift the engine the take the pan out and take it to a machine shop. dont mess it up more.

so is the bolt just spinning in the hole and not coming out or is the head just stripped and you cant get a wrench or socket on it?

If you go to NAPA, you should be able to get an oversize plug that is made to cut new threads on the way in. They're magnetic, too, so any shavings stay on the plug.
