Default Hatch release

I have to press my hatch release once, wait a second, and then press it again to be able to open it. When I press it the first time, it pops the hatch. Second time, it actually lets me raise it up. Is this normal? If not, what do you think the problem is?

mine did that as well. its caused by the spring not strong enough (not enough tension) from getting worn out. easily fixed by using a stronger spring or just piggy-backing the stock spring with another spring behind it

Adjust the rubber bump stops up to keep a little pressure on the hatch
