What to do
What to do I've been noticing that my car has a ticking sound whenever it idles. Whenever I start to accelerate it accelerates kind of jerkily. Whenever I'm cruising in 4th gear (A4) around 40 mph it again starts to run jerkily. There are no misfire codes. I have checked the plugs and wires, no wires touching the headers. Whenever I was at the shop we changed to another coil pack on a cylinder and it ran better, then we switched back to the original and it still ran ok, but now its not. Should I buy a new coil pack for that cylinder or what should I do.
I guess buy a coil from an auto parts store so you can return it if its not the problem.

bring it to a shop, they might be able to pick something up on the misfire counter, without it setting a misfire code, and could point you in the right cylinder. I would only buy GM coils, or a set of 8 used ones for that price (I have 8 spares of my own)
A full can of Sea Foam in 1/4 tank of gas. If its dirty injectors, that will clean them.
