P/S Return Hose Replacement So I just took my T/A in for an oil change. I rarely drive the car anymore, in fact this is the first oil change in almost 2 years. I haven't put 1k miles on since the last one but I figured some moisture has likely built up in the oil. Anyways I fully expected to get a call with some other issues, since the car has sat for so long. Apparently my P/S return hose is leaking. They wanted $250 to replace it, so I decided to try and fix it myself since I can buy the hose for under $20. Virtually everything I've done to my car on my own has been due to some good advice or instructions from these forums so I was hoping someone could give me a brief explanation of the process. Is this a fairly simple job that I can hopefully do from above the car?
Highly unlikely. If anything will leak, its usually the high pressure hose. Can you post a pic? Your PS pump may be leaking on to your hose. That's my issue and I've had "mechanics" tell me that my hoses were bad.

Turns out I misunderstood them. It's the pressure hose. They recommend I just change both, or let them do it for $320. Seems steep to me. I'll try and get some pictures when the weather outside is better. I topped off the PS fluid so I can drive it a bit this week, trying to run the car more frequently. The only reason I'm inclined to agree about the hoses being the problem is simply because the car has sat in San Diego weather for so long now, so it makes sense that the hoses may have dried and cracked.
Take a look. If the hoses are leaking, you'll have fluid down near the metal connections.
If you only have fluid on half of the hose and along most of the length, the seals on your pump have probably gone bad. (And the hoses could be fine.)
