P0440 Code, need help. Do not know exactly what it means.
P0440 Code, need help. Do not know exactly what it means. My car threw a the SES light this morning and its a P0440. EVAP something or other. what is it?
Car runs identical to before the code, but I need to know if I should fix it right away since i got a 100 ish mile trip coming up on sunday...
EDIT: Mods are 2002 241 ported heads, smog cam, mac mids w/ catted y and a tune. Ive had this car for about a month but previous owner took care of it...
I deleted code to see if it will come back. /EDIT

Evap system. Could be something as simple as your gas cap
I just googled the code and it did mention about the gas tank and recirculation of vapors. Im guessing gas fumes from motor. anyway, I did notice that when I put gas, I have to put substancial pressure on the gas pump or else it won't pump fast. This has happened at multiple gas stations....
