Smile hands on help with engine mod anyone?

Live near Pittsburgh PA. Looking for someone who knows what they are doing a cam job on a 2000 trans am. I dont know if this is the right thread for this, but giving it a shot. Anyone want to make some extra cash? I dont want to break the bank paying shop labor.

there are too many awesome write-ups floating around the internet that you should be fine doing it yourself, as long as you have some mechanical ability.

Thats the problem, I'm not that confident in myself yet lol. Over the past few years, I've learned alot compared to what I knew before, but internals is still to advanced for me. I did find a shop that will do it reasonable tho, $450, would that be considered fair?
