Can't go WOT...

I noticed my car is not opening the throttle linkage all the way to WOT. I adjusted all the cables as tightly as they would go, using the plastic threaded sections in the cables. There is no binding or anything under the gas pedal, but the linkage on the throttle body will not touch the throttle stop when the gas pedal is on the floor. Its about 1/8 inch from touching. I've read an article about how to actually increase the amount of WOT beyond that throttle stop by grinding the TB, but mine won't even touch it stock. Also, after I messed with the throttle cables, my cruise control stopped working.

Ideas?

Car only has 25,000 miles on it and it needs new cables? lol

There is more than one cable due to the cruise control or traction control. I'm not sure exactly what that cylinder shaped part is with the gears, but the cables run in and out of it.

Yeah. Wasn't sure if it had anything to do with the traction control also.

Anything I should check on this unit as far as why my cruise stopped working after I adjusted the slack in my cables?
