Default driver side window

just a quick question, so my driver side power window when i press the switch for it to go down it only goes down like 1/2 inch. and when i want it to go back up, it goes up like a millimeter at a time. was wondering could this b the switch or the actual window motor. if its the switch how do i get the whole thing out and if its the motor how do i replace that?

Check the link for pictures and step by step on how to remove/replace the window motor. Removing the switch is one of the earlier steps in the process.

The motor has a thermal resistor. If the wires get too hot while operating the motor it will stop. I would start by removing the switch, and checking the conections. Clean and reattach the switch to see if it helps. then wiggle the switch to see if that changes anything. If not chances are you need a new motor.

Good luck.
