Annoying pulley chattering!
Annoying pulley chattering! my lower pulleys(not sure which one) started to chatter about a week ago. The problem is i cant tell if its the pulley or the belt. It sounds like its coming from the little pully right next to the underdrive pully...i squirted some of that belt dressing on the little belt and it stops chattering but as soon as i give the car throttle it starts again. If i drive the car for a couple hours around town the chattering goes away for the rest of the day. Its really annoying and starting to **** me off it makes my car sound like a clunker lol...anybody know how to get it to stop permenantly?? do i have to buy the pulley and belt or what do you guys suggest?? could it be a bearing?

How old are the belts? Are they glazed or cracked? The pulleys last much longer than the belts, so I would inspect the belts first and replace them if they are questionable. there is a write up on the site on how to re-pack the grease in the idler pulley if it turns out not to be the belt. Search "wanna save like $40 bucks" or something similar.
Oh, and belt dressing sucks. It doesn't fix anything.

Mine did this yesterday. I Re-packed/greased the pully's and its problem fixed.
I do this about every 6months with a tub of grease to keep my car running like a champ! Loosens up some power too!
