Default Intermittent AC compressor operation.

Just installed a new compressor along with a full service at the AC shop. when the AC works it cools fine, but when the copressor cuts more than aften it will not kick back on. Even when I start the car from cold and start the AC it may or may not start. Blower is working fine, it's just the compressor that has it's own mind.
My AC system is all LT1 exept the compressor which is LS1. And I tried turning on the compressor with HPtuner scanner and it work everytime that way. What are the possibilities and what should I check to resolve this?
Thanks for any help.

I'd start with the LP and HP switches and the low temp sensor.

Where are those switches located? All I know is the pressure sensor on the compressor to evaporator line. Also where is the temp sensor.
One more thing, the AC pressure on the scanner shows 0.04 V when the comp is running and 0.02 V when it is off.

The terminals on the pressure sensor connector were slightly corroded. Cleaned them up and it's working well now.

Glad to hear that. I suspected also that it was a pressure switch issue.
