i think something is majorly wrong First off i drove my car this morning around 7:30 and it was absolutely fine. I go to start it at about 4:00pm and its cranking longer than usual,i figure oh i must be low on gas.nope you have almost half tank,oh why is it idling so low(about 450),then i notice bat voltage is alot lower than usual just touching the red line.after its been running for a couple mins and warmed up i start to hear a slight "click clack" noise not loud at all but much more apparent from under the car,i think **** and hurry to look at oil pressure at this point its below 25 and fluctuating very rapidly in small increments so i shut the car off.upon start up it was about 45 which it normal is.WTF happened here?!? i dont even know where to start or how to diagnose the problem,and how the hell did it go from driving totally fine to this just sitting there.
i just started it again,oil pressure slowly rose to around 35 and rpms are normal also no weird noises.for some dumbass reason last time i changed the oil which was very recently i did not change the filter and i have know idea how long its been on there. im going to change the oil again (and filter) and see if that helps oil pressure.
i remember hearing something about 98 oil pumps randomly failing is this true??
