Fuse problem-keep poping em???

Fuse problem-keep poping em??? I just put my car back together and everything works but the oil gauge and temp?
If I put in a new fuse and turn the ignition on it pops the fuse. If I use a test light and ground to the block and touch the prong of the oil sensor plug the test light will light up?
Where should I look for a short? I'm pree damn sure I have all the grounds on but no battery ground. Tried it but did nothing.
Also the oil and temp needles are pegged WOT
