a few questions...
it has a full tank of 4 year old gas in it..
1. what are the chances the gas is bad? i have read conflicting stories that gas turns to varnish over time and then some guy saying he has a car that he starts every so often from a tank of gas purchased in the 70's.. do i need to drain the tank?
2. how much should it cost to get the tail shaft of the transmission replaced? thats why the car has not run.. the driveshaft got out of balance and broke the tailshaft spilling fluid everywhere.. i made sure not to drive any further but i think i lost reverse.. which doesnt bother me i want to get this thing going again.
3. is it hard to siphon off a tank in a camaro? or is it as simple as just sticking a hose in?

No harder than any other car. Was it me, I'd disconnect the line under the car, put the hose in an appropriate container, and turn the key on. Let the fuel pump do the work. It'll be lots faster than a siphon on a full tank.
