AC problem, need help guys. Thanks My friends a/c has been acting up recently.
It blows cold air at idle but once you drive it/ give it gas the compressor shuts off I guess and it blows warm air.
Hooked a gauge up and its around 45psi at idle then when you give it gas it drops to around 30psi, then I hear a click (guessing the compressor shutting off) and thats the end of it.
Is it low on freon?

Ok, we started it up and it does the same thing, cold at idle, shuts off while driving. Must be a super slow leak then. Ill shove some freon in it and see what it does. Its still good on the gauge so its not over filled.
sounds like you are low on freon. the ac pressure switch sounds like it is kicking off the compressor because of low pressure
they sell freon in a can with a pressure gauge, get the one that has a gauge with a trigger on it. the ones that are just a gauge on the line are garbage
