Default Squeaky engine - any ideas...

Anyone know if this is a common fault with LS1's. I've got a 99 z28 auto. For the last few weeks it seems to have developed a squeak.

At first it only did it when cold, but now seems most of the time. It sounds like an engine pulley or something - squeak, squeak, squeak on idle. Sure it probably does it at higher revs but is difficult to hear.

I can't locate the squeak, sounds from the front of the block with the hood up.

Could really do with some help on this one as its driving me crazy!

Spray some dw40 on each pully while engine is running, if it quiet down when u spay, u find your problem. BTW how old is the belt ? if you need replace belt, I do recomment goodyear gatorback.
