vss leaking

vss leaking The other day I noticed fluid leaking from the vss on my auto tranny. After some inspecting I noticed the fluid seemed to be coming from inside the connector (is this possible). I tried to removed the sensor and could not get it to come out of the casing. Is there a trick to get the sensor out of the tranny without damaging it.

I ended up just changing the sensor and it took care of the problem. Something internally must have been wore out because it was leaking from the inside the connector. There was also alot of metal shavings stuck to the old sensor, I guess that is what 180,000 miles will do.
