Default 2002 T/A power mirror switch.

I have a small issue with a faulty switch, it only drives each mirror one way? When I reverse the wiring on the switch it will drive the mirrors the opposite way, so I need a switch! They are discontinued, I think 98-02 are the same? Anyone come across this problem, are there aftermarket switches out there (I would not think so). A used one may have the same issues as mine only has 45,000 km on it. Could the contacts be repaired? Thanks for any feedback on this, Les...

I just repaired one last week. If you can solder you can fix it. They get water In them and short. The circuit board will have a messed up spot. Solder a jumper between the two components that are on either end of the messed up spot.

If you take the plastic off and pull the circuit out you can see it. I've fixed two this way. If you have questions let me know. Its hard to explain in text

Oh ps. After I test it out and know it works, I cover the circuit in rtv so it is waterproof

****, I just ordered one from Classic Industries for $74.49. They are back ordered but expected this week. How many miles on the unit, my T/A has 46,000 km, I would like to keep everything as current as possible? Thanks, let me know, Les...
