oilpan gasket

can you replace the oilpan gasket without pulling the motor? the cars a 2000 camaro z28

not that I know of. The only way I could possible think of doing it would be taking out all oil pan bolts and sliding the gasket out and sliding new one in, only prob is trans is in the way and u cant do that in the front, so basucally u have to pull the motor up, maybe not out totally but at least suspended by the cherry picker

u can just lower the k-member down, not all the way and it comes right out. going to need a lift and a trans/ spin jake tho

You can do it on the floor without pulling engine but its a pita. You need several floor jacks to support engine and trans while you lower the k-member down just enough to slide oil pan out back.

i also need to replace my oil pan gasket. I found out that is where my little oil leaks have been coming from. When i do it, ill probably have to lower or remove the K member.
