Default window issue

on my 99 formula, both windows will go up and down, but they go very slowly and they will only do so for a minute. then i have to wait a while before i can do anything with them again. before i order parts to fix it, what is the most likely cause of this problem, the regulator , or the motor?

Extremely common problem. It's the motor. Go to your favorite parts store and pickup a motor. They're around $30 depending on whether you get lifetime warranty or not.

Follow these instructions.

It's easy to do. Took me about 2 hours to do my drivers side the first time. When i get around to doing the passenger side it might take me 30-45mins.

It's usually the motor.

I like the Dorman motors from Autozone. They are pretty fast and seem to last. Sometimes they also sell Siemens brand, which seem to be good too.

Sounds like all you need is the motor. If the window is still going up straight and level then the regulator is probably fine.

The link posted above with instructions on how to do this job is excellent. I followed that, it worked great.
