Oil in cold side piping
What is the best stuff I can use to clean the pipes with? Engine degreaser, soap & water, Simple Green, Sea Foam etc.?
dp I clean very carefull around where my o2 is and then rinse many many times.
charge pipes I used dish soap and rinsed until I saw no more residue or bubbles and then I rinse many more times after that too.
I had issues with my scavenger pump once time, and I was doing this **** several times a week.
Read the bottle as they say not to use on Aluminum.
The pipes are aluminized steel so they might have got damaged. I went to the local hardware store and bought some generic stuff that is supposed to be just like Simple Green. I took off the piping and the pipes were ok looking but the silicone couplers were full of oil along with the intercooler. It seems as though the oil migrated towards the lowest points in the system that is why the pipes looked clean but the couplers holding them together had oil.
BTW. it is a rear mount kit so there is a lot of work to clean them all, lol.
