ive been searching for this info, but i keep on getting mixed answers...
i need to know, in reference to the o2 sensors on a 98 z28...
1) which bank refers to which side of the car?
2) which sensor refers to the front/ rear?
3) which sensors are heated/ non?
the cars throwing codes for all of the sensors and i need to know which is which...
thanks
bank 2 = passanger side
The bank positions usually go off of where the first and second cylinders are located.
Sensor 1 = BEFORE cat
sensor 2 = After cat
The ones before the cat are usually heated. Hell they all may be heated. That I cant tell you.
Its odd for your car to throw codes for every single sensor, but it may actually happen. Id check to see if they are getting power first. Check the fuses for them.
The way I tested to see if my 02 sensor was getting power was using a multimeter. You DO NOT have to start the vehicle but you do have to turn the key to ON. Make sure you locate the Positive and Negative wires and be 100% that they are it. If its getting power you should get a reading of around 12 Volts. It can be a little less like 11.30 for instance. If you have questions let me know.
Oh and.... DON'T GET BOSCH!
