Why do you think it is the extension and not the heater in the O2 that has gone bad?

How old are the O2's and is that the only code?

Yes it's the only code and it went away when I replaced my extension drove around for about a week and then it came back on o2 sensors are about 6 months old. So i don't know but someone told me to go out and get vette o2 sensors what's different about those

The rear O2's on the Corvette use the same connector as ours, but the wire is longer so you can plug it into the stock connector and not use an extension.

Then you will find myths about better heaters in them, but there is little real evidence to support that claim.

At any rate, the extensions aren't rubbing on the exhaust and getting melted or anything right? Also I suppose there is the somewhat unlikely possibility that the heater circuit is damaged on the wire harness.

If you are going to go out and get new ones might as well get the Vette ones and cutout the extensions. If it works then good. If it is an extension problem or a O2 problem that should take care of it.
