line flaring

line flaring today i had a powersteering line get cut via the crank pulley, car is my turbo 99 t/a....has anyone built their own steel line and flared it with the fittings on and had success? dont see why it wouldnt work
as long as you make good flares, you'll be fine. have you checked on just buying the whole line? if your not familiar with flaring, i'd practice on some scrap line before you do it on your power steering line. the first time i did it i had to do some practice flares before i got it down.
