Default ls1 lsx gauge cluster ?

What years are interchangeable z28 gauge cluster. can 98 be the only year used on a 98, can 1999 only be used on a 1999 ? if any years are interchangeable please let me know. I'm about to purchase a 1999 camaro that the tach is not working. I do have 2000 gauge cluster sitting around . Thanks

I am not sure about the '98, but that 2000 cluster should work just fine with your '99.

From the reading i have done 98's needs a 98 but the 99 through 02's can be interchangeable. If you have an 2000 cluster laying around take it with you and put it in, should take you but 15 mins and you will know for sure.

I'm looking for a 99 camaro and up cluster with around 70,000 miles. If you know were one is

OK thanks, I will try it. Someone told me I can burn up the gauge cluster by trying it in a year camaro that it doesn't belong to. I tried it in my last 98 and it didn't work so if it is damaged already I have nothing to lose. My 2000 cluster has 130,000 miles on it.
