Default 00 Trans Am almost dies when coming to a stop

2000 WS6 Trans Am. 4l60E rebuilt less than 250 miles ago no problems until 2 days ago. I don't drive this car often as it's a big project, maybe a couple miles a month. When I'm driving, everything is fine but when I'm coming to a stop it almost dies out. Once I popped it into Neutral when it was about to die and the RPMs went back up and idled fine. It has idled a little low since I've gotten it. Another problem is that the shop that did the rebuild isn't in business anymore as the owner found working on cell towers to bring in more money. So what do I do? Where should I start looking? Anyone had this problem before? Thanks guys.

Maybe a weak fuel pump? The exact same thing happened to my friend's mustang and that was the cause. Also, mine is going out and when I idle it almost dies every once in a while. I also have problems starting sometimes if i don't cycle the key a couple times.

No problems starting. I just also noticed a feeling like the gear dis-engaging while accelerating. Almost feels like the fluid is low which it isn't.

IAC is new. I rotated the MAF 90° to help hide the wiring, think the would have anything to do with it? Also now that I think of it, I removed the EVAP and capped the EVAP hard line under the hood: could that be causing a vacuum in the tank??
