Default A/C turning on and off

Hi everyone. Need some quick advice. The car is a 2001 Camaro SS.

My A/C is turning on and off (the clutch on the belt tensioner is clicking on, then off, then back on quickly). It happens once every couple seconds.

I have switched out the relay that is to the left of the engine bay (passenger side). It fixed the problem for about 5 minutes, then it came back. I have also changed the relay in the fuse box area to the right of the engine bay (driver side).

Also had a compression check and fill check on the freon. Everything came up normal.

What else could be causing the clutch on the tensioner to click on and off?

Thanks!

if your coil is dirty and freezing up it is more than likely your high pressure switch

where can i find these low and high pressure switches?

also, I need to add that the car only does this when the car is at idle. under load, the a/c stays on. and by that i mean in gear (manual) and being given gas. at a stoplight in neutral or coasting in neutral it go on/off.

thanks for the quick replies. now let's see if i can locate these switches.

just checked online, and one of the parts i've already replaced was the low-pressure switch (I called it a relay on the passenger side above). perhaps i just got a faulty part?

i have no idea where the high pressure switch is located.
