Default Hard to steer

Hi, i got in my car tonight and right away i noticed i just about had to man handle the wheel to turn it, then looked under the car and saw what looked like fluid coming out of where the steering pump might be. Could the pump be bad or the whole rack?

It's not uncommon for the hard- to soft-line crimp on the high pressure line to start leaking and eventually fail. It's the line that goes into the power steering pump from the crank side; if you can clean everything up and see if that's where it's leaking from, it's an easier repair than swapping the PS pump or rack & pinion.

pulled the car up on jacks, started it up and had someone move the steering wheel back and forth, no luck of seeing anything leaking. I checked all lines and so no fluid.

Easiest things first, fill up your reservoir and take it from there...
