Question about AC compressors, having some issues
Question about AC compressors, having some issues I'm replacing the AC compressor on my car and I'm running into a problem. I've put two different compressors on there, brand new (not reman), different brands, and they both have the same problem. As soon as I start it up the pulley starts squeaking. It sometimes quiets down a little as I drive but the next time I drive the car it comes right back. I can put the stock one back on (replacing it due to it leaking) and no noise at all. I can't believe two different brand new compressors could have the same problem. Is it normal for this to happen? The only thing I could think was that maybe the noise would go away after a few engage/disengage cycles of the clutch, does that make any sense? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I R&R the compressor for the THIRD time...
