motor mount help! So I deceided to do the motor mounts on my 99 Z28 camaro I have the drivers side one off and the new mount bolted but I can't get it to line up with the body I was also informed to do it one at a time or else it wouldn't go together easy? Any tips to make this prcess easier?
I just did this, I got the driver side in , but couldn't get the passenger side to line up no matter what I tried, i even used the cars scissor jack to try and jack the motor over and ended up breaking the jack.
Finally, I loosened all the bolts on the driver side mount as far as I could without backing them all the way out, the bolts on the pedestal and the motor, this gave me just enough slack to get the passenger side in, even then it was hard.

I wouldn't pull the bolts all the way out but, like mike171562 said, loosening the bolts in the other motor mount may help to get the driver's side aligned. Then, just leave the driver's side bolts loose until you have the passenger side mount and bolts installed, and once everything lines up, torque both sides down.
