my engine seems to have what resembles an electrical whine when driving down the road. it does it whether the a/c or radio is on or off. it gets increasingly more high pitched the more i rev up the engine and it seems to that i can hear it best through the a/c vent. but i do have tsp rumblers so i cant hear much anyway. i know this sounds really vague but any ideas? or is this something normal. and im pretty sure its not the rear end whining. it just doesnt sound like its coming from the back

Power steering pump? They can make a whine when they are crapping out.
