Default Air Intake Sensor..

how often does the air intake Temperature Sensor go bad.. I went to advance auto to check my SES light. Now I have 2 codes for my SES light.. Knock sensors and the air intake sensor that goes in the Lid.Thanks Jimmy..

^ Knock sensor failure is a little more common when water will get under the intake and corrode them.

IAT sensor, not often.

Thanks I bought 2 new AC Delco Knock sensors and I bought the IAT sensors.. With the Knock sensors and the IAT would my car be slower..Because it was at the track Friday night..It was3-4 tenths slower and 3mph slower..

When your knock sensor is goin bad it'll retard timing to protect your engine from going boom boom

Doesn't that make your motor have less hp and slower.

Luck of the draw. My IAT sensor is my factory original from 1998. So is my MAP sensor and knock sensors.

But I've replaced the IAC and TPS once each.

Ok Im gonna replace both knock sensors,IAT sensor and replace my plugs. Because I think there the ones from the factory.I hope my car picks back up where it sapouse to run at and. I'm doing a SS4000 stall and 373 gears also to get rid of my shitty 273s..
