removed coolant temp sensor by mistake

removed coolant temp sensor by mistake So I was changing header gaskets on my 93 Z28, but accidentally broke the little sensor there. I removed it and this is before I knew what it was 
and coolant came out. I quickly moved a pan into place and truth be told, not much seemed to come out. I got a new sensor and installed it.
How do I go about adding coolant now? Should I just poor some into the radiator and then bleed the system or do I need to flush the whole thing?
Sorry if its vague I tried to explain the best I can, please help me I'm still a bit of a nood with all this so I'm learning.

Yea, not much comes out. Take the radiator cap off when its COLD, start it up, wait till you see the level drop down and coolant start to flow in the radiator fill neck, maybe 10 minutes at idle and the t-stat should open. Top it off and put the cap on. Done.
