headlight motor gear again!!

I repleaced my headlight motor gear twice withing a month and its keep breaking. its start doing that aweful noise , i know the gears are went bad, but any idea why it doing that. , they are new gears..... it did that to me today and the new gear i put em on 5 days ago... please help

Were they plastic, or did you opt for the metal ones? Sounds like the glue you used for the housing didn't seal correctly and gave it some "wiggle room" so to speak.

It happens.

Get the metal gear kit from Rodney Dickman. Period.

Your problem also might be the control module. Mine went out and the motor wouldn't shut off. it would keep running and strip out the gear. I had to get a new one to get it fixed

Is your linkage loose? Mine is and I suspect that's why mine keeps going out. Like within 10x times of replacement. How to check if the module is bad.
